Race Day – Packet Pickup

When: Sat, September 22, 2018 from 5:00 am – 9:00 am Where: The Commons Open Volunteer Spots: Closed

This event is the precursor to the race. It is very upbeat and fast paced. Energy levels are high and everyone is pumped. The action is fast, fun and friendly. Have a good time as it passes quickly.

Your assignment is to hand out bib envelopes, race bags, and race T-shirts.

  • Bib numbers are organized first by event (Marathon, Half Marathon, 5K, Kids Run), and then alphabetical by last name.
  • Race bags will be pre-packed and will be next to the tables with the bib envelopes to be grabbed as the bib envelopes are handed out.
  • Race T-shirts will be located behind the packet pick-up tables, and will be arranged in boxes by shirt size.

This is an important position – a smooth packet pickup for the participant puts them in a positive frame of mind for the rest of the weekend! Exceed expectations – amaze them!

After packet pickup ends around 8:00am on Saturday, volunteers will package up all packet pickup materials and shirts.  The materials will be loaded in a vehicle and taken to the event storage unit.  The leftover shirts will be taken to the merchandise tent in the Finish on Fourth area at 4th and Washington.
