Marathon

The Mill Race Marathon courses run on shaded park trails and smooth roadways through historic downtown Columbus, Indiana. The Marathon is a certified Boston-Qualifying course, ideal for personal records and competitive runners.

Flat. Fast. Built for Personal Records.

Participants must maintain the following paces for each event:

  • Marathon: 15-minute/mile
  • Half Marathon: 17-minute/mile
  • 5K Run/Walk: 21-minute/mile

There will be an 8-minute grace period at the start of the race before these pace limits begin.

Pace Requirements

  • 20 Aid Station on the Marathon course, 8 on the Half Marathon course.
  • Water and Powerade at each Aid Station. (Water only at the first Aid Station.)
  • Energy gel at 5 Aid Stations on the Marathon course and at Mile 7 on the Half Marathon. 
  • Substantial on-course medical support.
  • Clearly marked courses.
  • Restrooms at Start, Finish, and every Aid Station.
